Out Today: May 17th!

The Last Star
The 5th Wave #3
Rick Yancey

MAY CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR PREVIOUS BOOK(S)

We’re here, then we’re gone, and that was true before they came. That’s always been true. The Others didn’t invent death; they just perfected it. Gave death a face to put back in our face, because they knew that was the only way to crush us. It won’t end on any continent or ocean, no mountain or plain, jungle or desert. It will end where it began, where it had been from the beginning, on the battlefield of the last beating human heart.

It's a slow Tuesday in the book world i guess....

Short Review: You're all aware of my Book 2 Syndrome, well i am proud of Marie, this book does not suffer for that. It does a good job of setting up things for book 3 and tying up a few things from book 1. Jess wasn't really *needed* in this book other than to crush our MCs heart. Arin needs to learn to think before doing things, otherwise he will keep ending up in prisons. Overall, i wouldn't grab this book unless you have book 3 to read right after. I am very angry with her father thou, shaking my head for sure. I do wish the King and Prince were around more as well.

Misc.

Book Boyfriend: Arin.
Best Friend Material: the MC

Round 7 WINNER!

So this should have been posted like 4mths ago, but life got in the way a bit...

And the WINNER of Round 7 is...

Bloodlines
Richelle Mead

Bio for book 1:

Sydney's blood is special. That's because she's an alchemist - one of a group of humans who dabble in magic and serve to bridge the worlds of humans and vampires. They protect vampire secrets - and human lives. But the last encounter Sydney had with vampires got her in deep trouble with the other alchemists. And now with her allegiences in question, her future is on the line.

When Sydney is torn from her bed in the middle of the night, at first she thinks she's still being punished for her complicated alliance with dhampir Rose Hathaway. But what unfolds is far worse. Jill Dragomir - the sister of Moroi Queen Lissa Dragomir - is in mortal danger, and the Moroi must send her into hiding. To avoid a civil war, Sydney is called upon to act as Jill's guardian and protector, posing as her roommate in the unlikeliest of places: a human boarding school in Palm Springs, California. The last thing Sydney wants is to be accused of sympathizing with vampires. And now she has to live with one.

The Moroi court believe Jill and Sydney will be safe at Amberwood Prep, but threats, distractions, and forbidden romance lurk both outside - and within - the school grounds.

I read book 1 already and will be working on book 2 soon :D
