Short Review: This was the perfect book to read on Halloween night since this is about ghost! Ep! The MC annoyed me at first, kinda airhead, and dim in my opinion up front, and her roommate, ugh. Their Perfect, wanted to slap her. I for sure didn't see the twist coming, and the cliff hanger ending, not cool. I really want book 2 now please! The guy in the library sounds like my kinda of guy ;) besides the one major issue with him....

Short Review: They said Nipples wayyyy too many times. And teasing. There was at least 5 sex scenes in this book, maybe more, i lost count, and any interest in this book. The baby deal near the end, so he just touched her and she got pregnant?! What kind of deal was that?! And she was okay with it, and just was like OMG i'm having a baby! The voice narrator did the Chronicles of Nick (at least it sounds just like him) and they have kinda the same story line and that messed me up on keeping track of what was happening. I may read more of this series, we'll see.

Guy chasing you in your shitty car?! That's when you freak out!!! *sigh* I hate when they write people like this, just accepting everything that happens. If i find out the girl i rescued has freaking wings and you can breathe fire, that should freaking freak you out!!! Other than that, it was a pit on the slow side, and i really liked his mom, even thou he totally left her behind, but at least he saved the cute girl *eye roll*

Short Review: Ugh. I knew i would not like this. If you read the bio you know there are Gods involved, which never end well. So we have the MC Kate which i liked, at first, she was stubborn and didn't do much to annoy me, until she meant Henry aka Hades. She claims she wants nothing to do with him for chapters, then one chapter she's just like eff it, and sleeps with the guy. Ugh. Ava was a horrible character. The ending was weird, and sad! Not sure where book 2 will go since we wrapped everything up (well besides who was killing the other girls) so eager (ish) to see where it goes.

Short Review: Cozy mystery right here. I sometimes like the books where the MC falls into solving a crime even thou it isn't their job, and sometimes i hate it. This one, i liked, to a point. Some twist i knew were going happen since it's modeled around a TV show, like that kid isn't really yours. The ending; (view spoiler) I'll let it slide as it's book 1 but still, no. It seems that each book will be a different murder since they wrapped this up at the end. Little low on the action, and her falling for that person, and then they get in a tiff near the end, ugh. Overall, an okay book, what i would expect from book 1.

I knew about this disorder before i even read the book, and to be honest, i didn't think there was people out there who didn't know about it, so to read about how the character was made fun of and basically no one believing her really hurt me! I liked the MC, and her talents. I really want pictures of her paintings included! Mango being her gpa's soul, i totally believe that! I had a huge issue with Adam, he wanted to get the MC drunk and then make out with her, um, no, gross, you go away!

Yes you provided me a twist, one i did not see coming at all, but even with that you didn't even amp it up or anything, just here have this and throw it at me. *sigh* Peter was a selfish D in this book, wanted to be with the "action" vs his family. Bad. Anna was a wet noodle. Ben was super cute thou! Shelia was a selfish B, i grew to like her last book, but now, i don't like her at all. I don't have anything else to say, i'm just sad and disappointed.

The MC is a bit hard to figure out as you go too, sometimes it's the mother, sometimes its the girl who keeps dying. The parts with Hitler were great, I'm weird and like Hitler stories so sue me, and the ending, whoa! I didn't see that coming! Interesting concept, but a bit too many "lives".

Short Review: I like Finn, he faked his own death, that's always a plus in my book. The way this is written takes time to get used to, a lot of slang that i don't understand, and the N word is used so much, i hate hearing it. The whole log thing was interesting, i don't know if it's true, but it if is, i wonder how they dragged them out of the water, or where they put them til they had enough to sell. I don't understand why we had like a glimpse of Tom in the front of this book, and why he randomly comes back near the end. Why? Not needed. I'm glad Finn helped Jim and didn't turn him in.

Short Review: I felt like i was reading a textbook, but like a modern textbook where they tired really hard to make it sound interesting and apply it to life. I feel like this is a modern day 1984 (which i haven't read yet). I liked the MC, he took risks and didn't throw fits when those around him didn't take the same risks. The crazy tech they used in this book kinda scares me greatly, like the thing that kept you walking pattern in it's memory, and the weird keys they used on the free Xbox! I was very mad about the random romance story thrown in, and the sex scene, and the VERY unneeded slight triangle near the freaking end. Overall an okay book, a bit dry, but has enough action to keep you going.

There was a good amount of action scenes but i feel like the tone of the narrator made them out to be way less interesting than they were. Eliza still made sure she was wearing pants, or wanted to be wearing pants, we get it, you are progressive and wear pants! Shit. The ending saved it a bit. Seriously, Colby BEGS for help from Piper, but when Piper comes to Colby with an issues (IE talking cats!) she blows her off and says she doesn't believe her?! WHAT THE FUCK. Then we have this Hunter, shallow POS happens, Colby basically says eff Thomas, give me Hunter, and freaks when Piper shows interest in him. The plot was like 30% of this book, the rest was Colby being shitty.

Short Review: Me and Steampunk sometimes get along, this book, wasn't the steampunk i like. Yah it had a strong female MC, but she was one of those types that are always pointing out that they are female but are kicking butt and wearing pants. The hunting scene kinda freaked me out. The amount of sexism in that scene hurt, but the fact that it suddenly turns into hunting humans instead, truly freaked me out. I also figured out the second she sat those kids around the table to feed them that she would admit to using them to get info on the street. (Which is done in other books as well) The random scenes in the play Hamlet and them fighting with props on stage while the players just go with it, doubtful, and the little tidbit about pulling the curtain of the box closed, not okay. Oh and if one more guy from that club told his wife to learn to keep her month shut, i was going to be triggered!

Short Review: I forgot how much i hate almost every character in this book. i like it thou because i can yell at them and feel better about my life since i'm not as big of a bitch as they are. First we have the MC, Elizabeth, self entitled little B. Forced into an engagement, she does take it well, but cries about her "lover" William too much, he left, asked you to come, you refused, you lost the right to cry. Second, we have the MC's best friend, Penelope. Probably the worse of the lot. She pretty much wants to ruin Elizabeth after finding out her "boyfriend" is who Elizabeth is engaged to. Maybe she should be more focused on how much of a drunk/whore your "boyfriend" is instead. Fourth we have the MC's sister, Dana. Doesn't give a shit about anything, and sneaks out to meet with her sister's fiancee. Classy. Fifth, we have Henry the fiancee, whore, drunk, has a gambling problem, all around douche. Last we have this maid girl Lana, who is upset because she couldn't force Will to love her and wants to ruin Elizabeth as well. Fun stuff all around. The ending, it's hard to say who did it, but everyone has a motive so....

The ending... i saw it coming, but i didn't see how deep it was going to be. Everyone got their karma in the end, which i always like. Norma Jean is a riot, "You know i like my mt dew with breakfast". I like the hint of romance between the MC and Rufus' owner! You get a very good look into John's POV and how he feels about Sherlock and what they are doing. And you get this side story of the Mormon guy having to marry off his daughter. The show does a good job of following this story line for the episode Study in Pink. Sherlock isn't as known in the book as he is in the show, they even say he's new to the scene. Fans of Sherlock should read these!

Short Review: Cozy mystery for the win. I get in slumps and these things really help me out. We do have a slight love triangle between Richard and the hot cop! But it isn't too focused on. We have a fun best friend, who is an actress and helps with "undercover" work. I do like the MC, she is a bit of a wimp up front but gets better as we go on, like in the end when she really stands up for herself! The whole avoiding the preggo test thing had me laughing thou, how do you break a test twice!? There was some stuff that as too much for me, like her mom's wedding, what was the point?! Good cozy mystery

Short Review: The plot was interesting. The tiny twist thou, was annoying! (view spoiler) The Boy MC (i can not spell his name) was boring, i didn't like his POV and skimmed some of his parts, boringgggg. The Girl MC, i loved her, very badass, very strong! I don't really understand a good amount of the world building they did thou, like the things that killed at night? Was that them?! I was so confused there... It does have a very Divergent feel to it thou. Then the ending, how cliche. No.

Short Review: I can relate to Vera so much, when she was thinking about how that poor guy could have killed her and chopped her up, i think like that all the time, so i get it. It was very cool to have "Words from dead guy" in the story as well. It was nice to have Charlie's input after the fact. The whole animal thing was a bit much for me, but i guess it's better than beating up some people. This books does a good job of depicting the pressures of turning out like your parents, and how things can spiral out of control pretty fast. It was very fast pace and i enjoyed reading it. I just didn't like the creepy 23yr old.

Short Review: So i don't like Harry Potter. Yah i know, "what the hell", but i didn't read all the books, nor the movies and i really don't want to either. Sorry, but not really sorry. Harry in this play was a horrible person, bottom line. He was rude to Albus, not so great to Ginny, and didn't treat anyone with respect. I was on Draco's side most of the time *gasp*. (view spoiler) It was nice to see Ron and Hermione flirting, we don't get to see that much in the books, which made their "love" kinda not believable for me to follow. I hated Albus, he was a brat, almost as bad as his dad. It was a nice addition to the world of Harry Potter.

Jennifer Niven

Everyone thinks they know Libby Strout, the girl once dubbed “America’s Fattest Teen.” But no one’s taken the time to look past her weight to get to know who she really is. Following her mom’s death, she’s been picking up the pieces in the privacy of her home, dealing with her heartbroken father and her own grief. Now, Libby’s ready: for high school, for new friends, for love, and for EVERY POSSIBILITY LIFE HAS TO OFFER. In that moment, I know the part I want to play here at MVB High. I want to be the girl who can do anything.

Everyone thinks they know Jack Masselin, too. Yes, he’s got swagger, but he’s also mastered the impossible art of giving people what they want, of fitting in. What no one knows is that Jack has a newly acquired secret: he can’t recognize faces. Even his own brothers are strangers to him. He’s the guy who can re-engineer and rebuild anything in new and bad-ass ways, but he can’t understand what’s going on with the inner workings of his brain. So he tells himself to play it cool: Be charming. Be hilarious. Don’t get too close to anyone.

Until he meets Libby. When the two get tangled up in a cruel high school game—which lands them in group counseling and community service—Libby and Jack are both pissed, and then surprised. Because the more time they spend together, the less alone they feel. . . . Because sometimes when you meet someone, it changes the world, theirs and yours.

But as odd as everyone considers Miel and Sam, even they stay away from the Bonner girls, four beautiful sisters rumored to be witches. Now they want the roses that grow from Miel’s skin, convinced that their scent can make anyone fall in love. And they’re willing to use every secret Miel has fought to protect to make sure she gives them up.

No one but the island’s witch, who isn’t as frightening as she first appears, and the handsome dark-haired lad Bridey rescues from a grim and watery fate. The cause of the deep gashes in Fynn’s stomach and his lost memories are, like the recent disappearances, a mystery well-guarded by the sea. In exchange for saving his life, Fynn teaches Bridey to master her fear of the water — stealing her heart in the process.

But why? Who was that boy, and what happened that was too devastating to live with? And even if she gets the answers she’s looking for, will she ever be able to feel like a whole person again?

Our Chemical Hearts
Krystal Sutherland

Henry Page has never been in love. He fancies himself a hopeless romantic, but the slo-mo, heart palpitating, can't-eat-can't-sleep kind of love that he's been hoping for just hasn't been in the cards for him—at least not yet. Instead, he's been happy to focus on his grades, on getting into a semi-decent college and finally becoming editor of his school newspaper. Then Grace Town walks into his first period class on the third Tuesday of senior year and he knows everything's about to change.

Grace isn't who Henry pictured as his dream girl—she walks with a cane, wears oversized boys' clothes, and rarely seems to shower. But when Grace and Henry are both chosen to edit the school paper, he quickly finds himself falling for her. It's obvious there's something broken about Grace, but it seems to make her even more beautiful to Henry, and he wants nothing more than to help her put the pieces back together again. And yet, this isn't your average story of boy meets girl.
