Short Review: Ok, i know i usually complain about MCs who aren't the smartest or have any action scenes, but sometimes you need a little guilty pleasure books, and these are mine! I love bitchy girls! I love this cast of characters thou, very interesting bunch. Dan is making me crave coffee like crazy! Vanessa is kickbutt. Serena is kinda shady and all over the place. Blair is crazyyyyy. Jenny is a bit out there. Nate is a f**kboy for sure. I can't wait to get through all these!

Short Review: Okay, still can't figure out what is going on with Mimi nor Bliss. I get them confused so badly... The end was awesome, but it was hard to follow. I know who died, but the action was so hard to follow. I would have freaked out when i found out what they did to Dylan, totally BS there. The plot moved greatly in this book, not a whole lot of side action which was nice. This reminds me of Gossip Girl, just vampire style

Queen of Always
Stolen Empire #3
Sherry D. Ficklin

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR PREVIOUS BOOK(S)

If her time at court has taught Catherine anything, it’s that there is no room for weakness in Imperial Russia. With the Empress’ health failing and rumors of a change in the line of succession, her place in the royal line is once more in jeopardy. Tormented by her sadistic husband and his venomous mistress, Catherine must once more walk the fine line between pleasure and politics—between scandal and survival.

When her young son becomes the target of those rebelling against Peter’s reign, Catherine will have to rise up to protect herself, her child, and her nation from his unstable and potentially catastrophic rule. This means putting herself at odds with the most dangerous man she’s ever known, trusting those who once proved to be her enemies, and turning a nation against its sovereign. In the ultimate battle for the crown, new alliances will be forged, loyalties will be tested, and blood will be shed.

Chimera
Parasitology #3
Mira Grant

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR PREVIOUS BOOK(S)

The outbreak has spread, tearing apart the foundations of society, as implanted tapeworms have turned their human hosts into a seemingly mindless mob.

Sal and her family are trapped between bad and worse, and must find a way to compromise between the two sides of their nature before the battle becomes large enough to destroy humanity, and everything that humanity has built...including the chimera.

Queen
The Blackcoat Rebellion #3
Amiee Carter

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR PREVIOUS BOOK(S)

Kitty Doe is a Blackcoat rebel and a former captive with a deadly connection to the most powerful and dangerous man in the country, Prime Minister Daxton Hart. Forced to masquerade as Daxton's niece, Lila Hart, Kitty has helped the Blackcoats take back the prison known as Elsewhere. But Daxton has no intention of ceding his position of privilege—or letting Kitty expose his own masquerade. Not in these United States, where each person's rank means the difference between luxury and poverty, freedom and fear...and ultimately, between life and death.

To defeat the corrupt government, Kitty must expose Daxton's secret. Securing evidence will put others in jeopardy, including the boy she's loved forever and an ally she barely trusts. For months, Kitty's survival has hinged on playing a part. Now she must discover who she truly wants to be, and whether the new world she and the rebels are striving to create has a place in it for her after all.

yes!
Recommending: yes!

Short Review: This was by far my favorite of this series. This was less focused on her spending habits and more focused on her growing as a character and i loved seeing that. I just loved how this book played out. I didn't see how she was gonna get out of her biggest issue, but I'm so glad it all worked out in the end, and I'm really excited to see how this turns out next! I also need more Baby Ernesto and Suze! I miss them in this book, although Suze was taking charge in this book! I like that side of her :)

Short Review: It's been about 2months since i read the first book, and i remembered nothing. The author doesn't do a good job of helping you remember either. I was so lost, and still am a bit lost. I liked the book, but there wasn't a whole lot going on. The plot was moving forwards but i felt like there was wayyy too much side stuff going on. And i keep getting Bliss and Mimi mixed up. I hope book 3 is a big more straight forward.

Recommending: meh.

Short Review: Maybe i'm just setting the bar too high, but i'm getting so bored of most of the books i've been reading. I need less talking, and more action! I have no clue as to what was going on for the last 25% of the book, it was all over the place, too many kinda the same name characters messing me up. I knew there was a bad girl and he was causing trouble. They might have killed him. Something about machines thinking for themselves. I have no clue. I might read the next book, but only because of a series challenge next month.

The future is bleak. Hunted by the fae, running for her life, Aileana has only a few options left. Short Review: *Sigh* Sophie Kinsella needs to write forever. I love her books so much. So much fluff. These are for sure my guilty pleasure (don't judge!). I really wish this was a series book thou, i want to see how it goes for them two after all this goes down. The only issue i usually have with these books is that the endings are usually very cleanly done. I kinda wish for a messy ending so i can worry about the MC!! Still, great little chick lit :D

Short Review: I think that the fact that i read two of Sophie's books in just 1 day should be reason enough for others to pick up her books! I'm so glad to be getting into the Shopaholic series again. They flow so well from one book to another. I was on the edge of my seat for this one, i knew something was going to go down but i didn't expect two things! Again, a too clean ending, especially since it's a series and the ending could have a been a huge cliff hanger but instead i got some cleanness. Oh well, on to book 3 :D

yah.

Short Review: How many times do we needed to be reminded that the MC is a bigger bosom lady?! Think after the third mention of it, i got it! I was hoping for less sex scenes, but that didn't happen. I knew the "twist" was coming, but i didn't think it was going to be taken as it was! I'm upset for the MC and I need to see how this is going to be fixed in the next book. I knew one of the french ladies was going to be trouble but i guessed the wrong one. The machine and things in this book were getting pretty cool. I want to ride in an air machine!

So major trigger warning to anyone who had an ED or has one. I liked Stevie. The story was a bit slower than i like, but i crave action so contemporary is not my usual cup of tea.

Short Review: Um, holy crap! Okay, so going into this book, i knew very little about what it was going to be about. I didn't read any reviews so i didn't know what i was getting into at all. At first, i HATED the MC. Biggest bitch around for sure, i almost stopped reading because i hated her so much. But I kept going and i'm so glad i did. Now the MC stayed a bitch, but at least i got to see why. That twist was crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, i didn't see it coming at all, and i re read that part like 3 times to make sure i knew what all was going done. I was just taken by surprise for sure. Then the aftermath, are you kidding me?!? Was in the law enforcement always into the whole, well you could have stopped this or you kinda asked for it?!?!? Freaking crazy how they can say that you were the victim of rape because you knew how boys acted and got dressed up nice anyone and knew that something might happen! WTF!
