But upon moving into her estranged father’s mansion in California, and attending her glamorous new school, Daphne soon realizes she isn’t the only student in Olympus who doesn’t quite belong.

But Daphne won’t be wooed easily and when it seems their prophesied link could happen, Haden realizes something he never intended—he’s fallen in love. Cutting Down the TBR 2.0!

I know it's been a minute so I'm sure some have forgotten about my CDTBR challenge.
Basically i went through my To Read self on Goodreads, wrote down all the series, put them in a jar, i pull two from it at random, and you guys vote on which i read next!

Last round's winner was The Remnant Chronicles!
I finished book 1 and 2, and am on hold for book 3.

Recently i found this on Epic Reads: 365 Days of YA

So I spent a whole shift at work going through them and finding which I still needed to read! I put them on their own shelf, and using Random.org, I am pulling 3 numbers and you guys get to pick which one I read next! Going forward i will switch between the 365 books and the series for the rounds so I can tackle more!

Round 9 coming soon ;)

Intertwined trilogy
by Gene Showalter

Bio from Book 1:

There’s something about the new guy at Crossroads High…

Most sixteen-year-olds have friends. Aden Stone has four human souls living inside him:

One can time travel.
One can raise the dead.
One can possess another human.
One can tell the future.

Everyone thinks he’s crazy, which is why he’s spent his entire life shuffled between mental institutions and juvie. All of that is about to change, however. For months Aden has been having visions of a beautiful girl—a girl who carries centuries-old secrets. A girl who will either save him or destroy him.

Together they’ll enter a dark world of intrigue and danger... but not everyone will come out alive.

CHOICE #2

The Remnant Chronicles
by Mary E. Pearson

Bio from Book 1:

A princess must find her place in a reborn world.

She flees on her wedding day.

She steals ancient documents from the Chancellor's secret collection.

She is pursued by bounty hunters sent by her own father.

She is Princess Lia, seventeen, First Daughter of the House of Morrighan.

The Kingdom of Morrighan is steeped in tradition and the stories of a bygone world, but some traditions Lia can't abide. Like having to marry someone she's never met to secure a political alliance.

Fed up and ready for a new life, Lia flees to a distant village on the morning of her wedding. She settles in among the common folk, intrigued when two mysterious and handsome strangers arrive—and unaware that one is the jilted prince and the other an assassin sent to kill her. Deceptions swirl and Lia finds herself on the brink of unlocking perilous secrets—secrets that may unravel her world—even as she feels herself falling in love.

I did read The Kiss of Deception, but that was in March of last year so.

Bloodlines
Richelle Mead

Bio for book 1:

They protect vampire secrets - and human lives. But the last encounter Sydney had with vampires got her in deep trouble with the other alchemists. And now with her allegiences in question, her future is on the line.

When Sydney is torn from her bed in the middle of the night, at first she thinks she's still being punished for her complicated alliance with dhampir Rose Hathaway. But what unfolds is far worse. Jill Dragomir - the sister of Moroi Queen Lissa Dragomir - is in mortal danger, and the Moroi must send her into hiding. To avoid a civil war, Sydney is called upon to act as Jill's guardian and protector, posing as her roommate in the unlikeliest of places: a human boarding school in Palm Springs, California. The last thing Sydney wants is to be accused of sympathizing with vampires. And now she has to live with one.

The Moroi court believe Jill and Sydney will be safe at Amberwood Prep, but threats, distractions, and forbidden romance lurk both outside - and within - the school grounds.

Round 5: Cutting Down the TBR!

Round 5!

(Those new to my blog, look HERE to see what all i'm talking about)

I have almost given up on finishing the last book of the Grisha, i'm sorry, but it's dragging and i just can't get into it. I might try really hard to push through it tomorrow, but we'll see.

CHOICE #1!

THE BODY FINDER
Kimberly Derting

Short bio for book 1 of series:

Violet Ambrose is grappling with two major issues: Jay Heaton and her morbid secret ability. While the sixteen-year-old is confused by her new feelings for her best friend since childhood, she is more disturbed by her "power" to sense dead bodies—or at least those that have been murdered. Since she was a little girl, she has felt the echoes that the dead leave behind in the world... and the imprints that attach to their killers.

Violet has never considered her strange talent to be a gift; it mostly just led her to find the dead birds her cat had tired of playing with. But now that a serial killer has begun terrorizing her small town, and the echoes of the local girls he's claimed haunt her daily, she realizes she might be the only person who can stop him.

CHOICE #2!

ROSE GARDNER MYSTERIES
Denise Grover Swank

Short Bio From Book 1:

For Rose Gardner, working at the DMV on a Friday afternoon is bad even before she sees a vision of herself dead. She’s had plenty of visions, usually boring ones like someone’s toilet’s overflowed, but she’s never seen one of herself before. When her overbearing momma winds up murdered on her sofa instead, two things are certain: There isn't enough hydrogen peroxide in the state of Arkansas to get that stain out, and Rose is the prime suspect.

Rose realizes she’s wasted twenty-four years of living and makes a list on the back of a Wal-Mart receipt: twenty-eight things she wants to accomplish before her vision comes true. She’s well on her way with the help of her next door neighbor Joe, who has no trouble teaching Rose the rules of drinking, but won’t help with number fifteen-- do more with a man. Joe’s new to town, but it doesn’t take a vision for Rose to realize he’s got plenty secrets of his own.

I just sent out the poll to my goodread's friends, so keep an eye out for that.

Short Review: Well since i read all 16 books, i figured i should read the novellas too. Big mistake. This was crap. Comparing this to Fan-Fic. It's just ugh.

Hanna's story was gag worthy. Hanna please stop throwing yourself at every man!

Aria's story was wayyyyy too far fetched. Marring in Atlantic City. Aria please calm your tits.

Emily's story was a bit exciting but demeaning. Her mom saying shit about girl's with short hair are lesbians. Emily please get the stick out of your ass.

Spencer's story was the worse, i think. Fighting over yet another man with her sister. Spencer please kill your sister already. Melissa please act your damn age.

Short Review: Emily totally lost her shit in this book. She has been a kinda quite in the background type character for awhile now and in this book, she went crazy and i kinda love her now. Also, Hanna and Mike, please stop being a yo-yo. You're together, then not, then you are, then you're not. Seriously, over it. I was crazy disappointed there wasn't a letter from A at the end like there has been in the first 14 books!
