I've read Obsidian by Armentrout and it was a so-so book for me. The alien theme was cool but it wasn't that spectacular.

I read like 65% of the first book, and i had to give up. The whole "i love the kid next door oh no i don't" thing was so bad!!!
DeleteOhhh lots of these are fab but I would start with Raven boys and my all time favorite series is Throne of Glass! Happy reading

Every time i go to the library, they have the 2nd and 3rd books for the Raven Boys but never the first!!! It's mocking me!!!
DeleteOh thank goodness there is someone else who hasn't read Throne of Glass yet. I feel so far behind!
ReplyDeleteI've only read Obsidian and Half Bad from your list. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Obsidian and really disappointed by how much I didn't enjoy Half Bad. Please let me know what you think of them once you get round to them!

DeleteI know right, everyone on my Goodreads seems to have tackled Throne of Glass!
You have a lot of books that I loooove on here. Unearthly and Grave Mercy are some of my favorites. I just finished Half Bad and it was great too.
ReplyDeleteI have a copy of Grave Mercy on my kindle, i need to kick my butt into reading from it. I just like paperback better, but the library never has it!
DeleteThere are some good ones on your list that I had completely forgotten about!! :O I recently purchased THESE BROKEN STARS, it's gotten such good reviews I can't wait to read it! Oh and the LUX series, I definitely need to read!! Great list!!

DeleteGAH, I am right there with you on a LOT of these. I still need to read Sweet Evil, Grave Mercy, The Raven Boys, Throne of Glass, These Broken Stars... yikes. I have read City of Bones (honestly, I'd skip it), and Half Bad (I actually just finished it a few days ago, it was good!) and the others I am not really too interested in. Great list, I hope you get to read these sooN!

Aw you didn't like City of Bones? I have yet to see someone write a bad review for those books. Everyone is always lusting over them. Maybe they're missing something! I did read Clockwork Prince and i wasn't impressed.
Delete1. & 3. & 5. are on my TBR short list, which mean I hope to get to them this year. Especially Grave Mercy, I think this will be the first of those that I will get to read, let's see if the hype doesn't lie!
ReplyDelete2. I don't know what I would think about City of Bone if I read it right now, but on the overall TMI is one of my favorite series.
6. READ IT READ IT READ IT! This series is amazing, I started reading the novellas and them read the rest of the series and don't regret a thing, the novellas got me invested on the main character A LOT so reading the rest of the series was a no brainer.
7. THIS SERIES IS SO GOOD TOO! I wasn't sure if it would be my thing after reading Shiver by the same author (and hating it) but this is completely different and GAHD SO GOOD!

I know i need to get to Throne of Glass! But i always forget to look at the library for it. I think i'm going to start a new system to checking books out and hoping that will help me remember books :]
DeleteI kept seeing bad reviews for Shiver too so i was staying away from Raven Boys too, but now i must get to it since everyone else has!!!
You should start Throne of glass and City of bones!! So good series!! *-*

I want to watch it but i have a strict rule not to watch anything until i read it, and i badly want to watch it!!
DeleteYeah...I've read all of these. The ones I most recommend are the first 3, Throne of Glass, and These Broken Stars. The only one on the list I didn't like was Sweet Evil, but I seem to be the only one. Anyway, I hope you get to these soon!
